What can we do

LGBT youth are prone to being victims of depression. Depression could lead to thoughts of suicide, doing poorly academically, lost of interest, violence, problems at home and drug abuse. If you or someone you know is feeling stressed or depressed, tell someone you confine in.

LGBT youth are subjugated to harassment and are constantly being bullied because of their sexual orientation. If you have a friend and or are being bullied in school please don’t keep quite and speak up. Tell someone you trust and you know could help you or the person you know is being bullied. The school principle, a parent, the schools dean and or guidance counselor could help you or your peer out. In a situation where the school staff or parent is unable to help, you could contact a legal organization that can help enforce your safety I school such as ACLU, NCLR, GLAD or Lambda Legal.
